Background

There is an ancient Chinese proverb which goes something like this:

“Heroes (leaders) are made over turbulent times”.

Well, undoubtedly, this last decade was a turbulent one, technologically wise, and heroes in the field of protecting technology (security), came to the flag when called.

The first hero of this act was a little known Israeli company called CheckPoint (est:1993) (Nasdaq:CHKP). It was a Checkpoint’s ground breaking technology and vision that offered protection of the most frightening scenario of the time, i.e. breaking into the organization network using network tweaks and tricks known to few 3l33t that hacked and r00led the net.
